As mentioned before, with one of the guys I have been exchanging messages, I have kind of a goofy banter. Lately, that banter has trailed off, so I have just assumed that he is otherwise occupied and have let it pretty much go. Last night, I shot off a quick note to him, just to see how things had been with him. He replied today with a friendly message.
I noticed, when I opened his message, that he had a new profile picture, so I checked it out. It made him look a bit like the Unabomber. As we have had these banter-y, jokey messages back and forth, when I was replying to him, I mentioned my observation as a P.S. to the note, with the necessary " :P " after the comment.
A few hours later, I checked POF. At that time, he hadn't read the message. I sent Jenn an email explaining the odd profile pic so that she could check it out. I logged back on to POF after sending the email to Jenn (about 10 minutes after the previous login). He had both read the message AND removed the picture from his profile. Now his profile pic has returned to a much more flattering picture.
Coincidence? Maybe. Funny? Yes.
