I heard back from MC this evening. His message apologized for not having written in a while (it had been a week) and congratulated me on wrapping up the semester. He explained how work was still really busy and that in a few weeks he'd be moving to the other side of the island for 10 months.
As I read, I figured this was an elaborate way to end communications. Oh, but no. At the end of the note, he wrote that we should get together soon, then, and he mentioned being free on Thursday and asked about my schedule.
Huh? This is strange.
Of course, as I am sure this won't pan out, I decided to go a little further down the rabbit hole. I wrote back and said Thursday was fine, and I asked when and where he had in mind. MC can make the plans if he actually wants to meet up. I have my doubts. But I am open to being proven wrong. We shall see...
