Er. So. Giving the online thing a go...

Even though we just "started" our social experiment today, I actually posted my profile last week, so I guess I can reflect a bit about my first week on POF.


Some things I have learned thus far:

1. "Do you like to have fun?" = "Do you like intimate encounters?"


2. You can choose not to accept "Intimate Encounters" messages. (Learned after lesson #1.)


3. No matter how much you put your Texan-ness in your profile, people will still ask where you are from.


4. I don't trust when people don't put up pictures.


5. "What's up?" as the only words in a message doesn't really entice a girl to write back.

But, really, I have learned that I can only communicate with a handful of people at a time. Does this make me catty? Dunno.


For example, I am writing back and forth primarily to two people. One with whom I initiated contact. The other who contacted me first.
