Waiting on confirmation

So, the downside (well, one of them) of POF as a communication tool is the waiting. Well, more specifically, the waiting to hear back from someone when you don't have any other way of communicating with them.

Now, I fully understand the tactic of not answering someone's message right away, even though I don't tend to follow this approach. (If I am in front of a computer and have time, I tend to write someone I want to communicate with whenever I read the message.) But, still, I understand why some people do this...

Unless you are actually trying to make plans with them. At that point, seeing that someone has "read" your message that is trying to confirm a plan with him for a day from now, which was mutually developed, begins to move from "OK...you like to take time before responding" to "Dude, just send off a yea or nay."
